JuMP Academy Winter Session 2025

JuMP Academy is offering musical theatre training classes and performance opportunities for students ages 3rd - 12th grade. We are so excited about this year!

All Winter Session JuMP Academy payments are refundable in full until December 18th

Class Descriptions

Musical Theatre Foundations: 3rd - 5th Grade

Dates: Mondays Jan. 13th - March 24th from 5:00 - 6:00 pm, Showcase on March 31st at 5:30 pm. 

Students in grades 3-5 will explore the basics of theater while building confidence and creativity. Through games, activities, and team-building exercises, they’ll discover the essentials of acting, voice, and movement. Each student will have the chance to choose a monologue or song to work on throughout the class, and students will also work on a group number. The class will culminate in a showcase performance for family and friends.

Building the Scene: 6th - 8th Grade 

Dates: Thursdays Jan. 16th - March 27th from 7:00 - 8:30 pm. *Showcase on Monday, March 31st at 7:00 pm.*

Designed for middle school students, this class focuses on partnered scenework and the transition between spoken dialogue and singing. Students will be assigned a scene from a musical to work on throughout the class through various exercises and character development techniques. The class will culminate in a showcase performance for family and friends.

Professionalism in the Arts: 9th - 12th Grade

Dates: Mondays Jan. 13th - March 24th from 7:00 - 8:30 pm. Showcase on March 31st at 7:00 pm. 

This hands-on class is designed to equip high schoolers with the tools and confidence they need to make a professional impression in the audition room via the creation of an audition portfolio. Students will learn how to select audition materials that best suit their unique talents, hone their performance of those pieces, and learn how to craft and format a professional resume. Through practical exercises and personalized feedback, they will also refine skills like audition etiquette, self-presentation, and communication. This class culminates in a mock-audition showcase for family and friends. 

*8th graders are allowed to register for PITA by teacher recommendation. 

Payment

Payment can be made in full at the time of registration, or you can select the "Deposit" option. The deposit amounts vary by class. The remaining tuition amount for all classes is due on Monday, February 17th.

    No class on March 13th.

    Meets weekly on Mondays from 7:00 - 8:30 pm.
    First class: Jan 13th
    Last class: March 24th
    Showcase: March 31st at 7:00 pm.
    No class on February 10th.

Parent Information

General Liability Release

By signing the box below, I, the parent or legal guardian of the above registered minor-aged student(s), in consideration for being accepted by JuMP Academy for participation in the selected class and/or lesson, do herby release, forever discharge and agree to hold harmless JuMP Company and its teachers, representatives, directors, employees, volunteers and agents, including those associated with Northside Baptist Church and Northside Christian Academy, from any and all liability, claims, or demands in regard to personal injury, sickness (including COVID-19) or death, as well as property damage and expenses, of any nature whatsoever which may be incurred by the participant, myself, or any accompanying family member that occur while said person is participating in the above-described activity including all class and class-related activities.

Medical Release

By checking the box below, I, the parent or legal guardian of the above registered minor-aged student(s), further consent to the administration of first-aid and/or doctor care, or any other form of medical treatment necessitated by illness or injury that may require the same. In the event of the necessity of such care or treatment as heretofore described, I agree to hold harmless and indemnify said JuMP Company and its teachers, representatives, directors, employees, volunteers and agents, from any acts of malfeasance, and/or failure to act on the part of those chosen to administer medical care on behalf of the participant.

Photography Release

By checking the box below, I give permission to JuMP Company to photograph and video my child for promotional purposes. I understand that my child's name will not be connected to any photographs or published anywhere by JuMP Company.

Refund Policy Consent

Registration pricing is for the semester, and tuition will not be refunded or prorated for missed classes for any reason.

Payment Method Options

APP PAYMENT TO JUMP ACADEMY by VENMO, CASH APP, OR ZELLE - Pay JUMP ACADEMY directly by one of our approved apps, with a processing fee of $1.50 per camp registration.  Upon submitting this form, you will be directed to a confirmation page which provides the links to submit your app payment.

CREDIT CARD- An invoice will be emailed to you to pay by credit card, which will include credit card fees of 4.5% in addition to the standard $1.50 processing fee.

NO PAYMENT will be collected at the time of completing this form for any payment type. If paying by deposit, you will need to submit your final payment manually by Feb. 17th - it will NOT be automatically charged.
